Parts of the Bible

This is a kinesthetic activity that engages students in organizing the books of the Bible.  We had so much fun stacking the books of the Old Testament, and its a good visual for remembering the parts of the Bible.  Great job students!

Faith in Action!

Such a simple, yet profound, truth.  John 3:16 is a good reminder (on our door) of what God our Father has done for us!  Praise the Lord!

Ah, the sound of Morning Routine!

As each task is completed, students move their name down to the next part of the morning routine - from hanging up their backpack to book shopping.      

Fun In The Sun!

First day of school writing!  Students wrote what they did over the summer on the rays of sunshine.  Then, students illustrated their favorite activity in the center of the sun.  We had a great time brainstorming, drafting, writing, and illustrating these sunshines!  I enjoyed getting to know what students participated in over the summer!

Help Wanted!

Responsibility builds character, and there are many opportunities to contribute to classroom jobs!  Each week there are available positions such as line leader, door holder, lights, rotations/library manager, paper manager, teacher assistant, and calendar.  Jobs are picked randomly and rotated weekly.

Our God is a God of order.  Therefore, its time to set some rules! The student's worked as a team to propose and enact three of the five classroom rules....

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. 

What a wonderful first day of school!  Working as a team, student's pledged their friendship with their thumb print. ...The result - a friendship tree.  This marks the beginning of a great year!
